I looked again, and there before me was a flying scroll. He asked me, ‘What do you see?’ I answered, ‘I see a flying scroll, twenty cubits long and ten cubits wide.’ And he said to me, ‘This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be banished.
The LORD Almighty declares, “I will send it out, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of anyone who swears falsely by my name. It will remain in that house and destroy it completely, both its timbers and its stones.”’
Then the angel who was speaking to me came forward and said to me, ‘Look up and see what is appearing.’ I asked, ‘What is it?’ He replied, ‘It is a basket.’ And he added, ‘This is the iniquity of the people throughout the land.’ Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman! He said, ‘This is wickedness,’ and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed its lead cover down on it.
Then I looked up – and there before me were two women, with the wind in their wings! They had wings like those of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth. ‘Where are they taking the basket?’ I asked the angel who was speaking to me. He replied, ‘To the country of Babylonia to build a house for it. When the house is ready, the basket will be set there in its place.’ ZECHARIAH 5:1-11
The first world dictator, Nimrod meaning “we will rebel” built Bab-El, i.e., “Tower to Heaven” as a centrepiece of his rebellion against God on the plain of ‘Shinar’ in Hebrew, i.e., Babylon. Although God disrupted the rebellious coalition to build the tower through the confusion of tongues at that time, this rebellion is still with us in various forms of cultural traditions such as idolatry, astrology and occults.
In both the Old and New Testaments, the catastrophic destruction of Babylon is described in detail; that the fabled city will be left uninhabitable and even the building materials will never be reused. However, this clearly has not yet been fulfilled. So, it may well be viewed that Babylon, a ‘den of iniquity’ is destined to rise again as a literal city on the banks of the Euphrates so as to receive the final judgment that Zechariah (quoted at the beginning) along with the other Old Testament prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah and the Apostle John have described. Babylon can also be depicted metaphorically as any ecumenical, godless, and inhuman systems or organizations.
Zechariah saw a woman, labelled ‘wickedness’ pushed in an “ephah (basket)” with a ‘lead cover’, in the enigmatic visions. This woman is possibly the same one as the ‘Mother of Prostitute’ in Re.17. Carried by two women with ‘wings like those of a stork’ (implying something sinister because a stork was ritually an unclean bird in the law), the woman was in a process of being transported to the original location where wickedness had all began, on the plain of ‘Shinar’, Babylon. For people who have been deceived and oppressed under totalitarian regimes, it would be a great relief to know that although totalitarian power systems are to be re-established in the end, God would bring judgement, according to the law signified by a ‘flying scroll’.

As Michael Shellenberger explains in the article entitled ‘U.N. War On Fertilizer Began in Sri Lanka, UN Environment Programme launched its anti-fertilizer efforts from Sri Lanka in 2019’; the collapse of Sri Lanka took place because an ‘ignorant, anti-fertilizer president’ banned all fertilizer imports in 2021, leading to a catastrophic collapse of the domestic food supply and economy:
One month after the Colombo meeting in 2019, which generated significant media attention in Sri Lanka, voters in that nation elected an anti-fertilizer president, H.E. Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who claimed, without scientific evidence, that synthetic fertilizers were causing kidney diseases. In April 2021, he banned fertilizer imports. In fact, the fertilizer ban was causing a crash in agricultural production. After the fertilizer ban, 85% of Sri Lankan farmers experienced crop losses.
