#313:RETURN TO GOD IN THE BIBLE IS THE ONLY WAY TO SURVIVAL

RETURN TO GOD IN THE BIBLE IS THE ONLY WAY TO SURVIVAL

Recent worsening massive civil unrest provoked seemingly on purpose first by COVID-19, followed by famine, energy collapse and globally increasing fascism regimes…The consequence of advanced civilization is self-destruction...

‘This is what the LORD says – Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and lay out before me what has happened since I established my ancient people, and what is yet to come – yes, let them foretell what will come. Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.’     ISAIAH 44:6-8.

Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him. For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm for ever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance. From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling-place he watches all who live on earth – he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do. No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save. But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.      PSALM 33:8-22.

A seven-foot-tall bronze statue of a gorilla “Harambe” has been erected, facing off against the iconic bronze eleven-foot-tall Charging Bull statue at Bowling Green of Wall Street. The founders of the gorilla statue and of Sapien.Network, a social networking platform “dedicated to putting the needs and welfare of human beings first, piled 10,000 bananas around the base of the Charging Bull statue, intending to convey the message that Wall Street has “gone bananas”.

They explained; ‘A simple gesture of giving a banana builds community. As a society, we need to come together. We can’t keep fighting to come together’. As for the gorilla’s background, Harambe, a 440-pound silverback gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo was killed in 2016, when a three-year-old boy climbed into the gorilla’s enclosure where he was grabbed and dragged aggressively. Although Harambe never acted aggressively toward the child, zookeepers who were fearful for the child’s safety shot it. (Site, Watch)

After the killing of the gorilla, many in the general public criticised the use of lethal force to save the child. According to the creators, the bronze statue of Harambe, contrasts with the bronze Charging Bull of Wall Street, representing ‘the millions of everyday people who struggle under a system that enriches wealthy elites and leaves the average person behind’. However, a rabbi’s perception is somewhat different. He noted that this publicity stunt symbolised the new era of idolatry that is taking over the “woke culture”.

Rabbi Chananya Weissmann, who claims that ‘the mask is a sign of idolatry’ ―the Torah refers to the Golden Calf as a ‘masecha’ (מַסֵּכָה), which means ‘mask’ (Exodus 32:4)― and that idols are becoming a new age trend of the ‘woke culture’ puts it:

Any time you believe that there is another source other than God to heal or mend, that is idolatry. …The actual statue is just a symptom, not the actual disease. …These people have a warped concept of the value of human life. …They figure that there are far more little boys than gorillas so it is preferable to them that the boy dies and the gorilla lives. But that is characteristic of idolatry which is a death cult and offers up children and babies to Moloch in its worship of nature as the ultimate god. …This is also expressed in the pandemic mandates which call for vaccinating younger people who are not at risk. It also puts masks on children, treating them like plague-ridden pariahs. They are condemning the children to a lifetime of booster shots rather than start at the age when people really start to be in danger. …It is not a coincidence that the very same people who deny creation and prefer to believe that they descended from monkies want to erect an idol to a gorilla. They are getting back to what they believe are their roots. …They reject faith in favor of what they call science. They prohibit prayer yet create legislation that permits bars and nightclubs to stay open. It is precisely prayer that is the source of healing and our connection with the source of all life.

Rabbi Weissmann’s poignant message continues:

I can guarantee that all the people who put up these statues, while claiming to care about social justice, are wealthy and live far away from the needy and oppressed. …That is why they buy expensive statues that do nothing to address the real problems of the inner city and poor. It is a method of mind control. …The symbolism in this case of Harambe is not that they want to raise up the poor or distribute “bananas”. The symbolism is that they want to beat wall street and take all their bananas for themselves. …This is what these people are about.

Recent worsening massive civil unrest provoked seemingly on purpose first by COVID-19, followed by famine, energy collapse, food shortage and rationing, labour shortages, hyperinflation, medical martial law and globally increasing fascism regimes…The consequence of advanced civilization is self-destruction, which we are seeing globally today. How to resist the power of evil is only found in the Word of God.

Isaiah 44 tells us whom we should solely depend on as a source of everything and Isaiah’s satire on the folly of idolatry continues from verse 9 onwards to 20. Psalm 33 is the last of nine consecutive psalms of pleas for mercy and grace, and also a hymn of praise for Yahweh’s sovereign rule and saving help. The verbs in this psalm are in the plural, which suggests the involvement of a community in the sanctuary or believers’ gathering.

As God declared:

By the word of the LORD the heavens were made…For he spoke, and it came to be (vs.6,8),

so, the information sciences are the very foundation of all other discoveries at the very frontiers of science. The truth is that

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse (Ro.1:20).

Man cannot foil God’s plans for humanity, no matter how evil he plots as God remains sovereign. On the other hand, God rewards God-fearing nations because His gaze is upon each individual and He knows man’s thoughts and intentions of the heart. This is very encouraging for believing nations, who have nothing to fear whatever happens.
